DESCRIPTION
During the Stay at Home Order in 2020, many of the Petaluma businesses struggled to stay afloat, especially those without a web presence. Many were still operating in unique ways but had no platform to communicate how with the public. In response, the City of Petaluma organized a directory site which would help these companies communicate their message and carry out business to whatever extent they could.

From a design standpoint, we wanted to showcase the feel of Petaluma and provide the user with an experience like they were walking downtown. Landing on the site you find yourself on a new street each time — just like you would find parking on a new street each time you visit downtown — and as you scroll down the page you see the products, food, and services of the shops that characterize those streets the same way you would if you were window shopping down that street.
To browse more specifically, you can head to the directory and navigate by category or simply search a product. Additionally, shop owners can explore inspirational stories and business resources to gain insight and ideas on how to improve business during unusual times.
